2007 Scholarship Awards

 

 

Alex Berry:

Our 1st Scholarship Award Winner is Alex Berry;   Alex was a 2 year starter and was

named to the 1st Team All-Lorain County for both of those years as well as 1st Team SWC and 2nd

Team All District this past year;  Alex was also an all-star performer in community service, as he was

very active all 4 years at the St. Joseph Homeless Shelter and the Blessing House in Elyria;

Alex will be attending Kent State in the fall and plans to major in Criminal Justice

Patrick Donnelly:

Our 2nd Scholarship recipient is Patrick Donnelly.   Patrick was a hard

worker in the classroom - with a GPA of 3.25 and the football field - where he earned 2 varsity

letters and received honorable mention in both Conference and All Lorain County.   Pat was also very

active in numerous extra-curriculars throughout his 4 years and has plans to major in Finance

& International Business at a college TBA.

Patrick Fox:

Our 3rd recipient is Patrick Fox.  Pat is a multi-sport athlete and has earned multiple

varsity letters in baseball and football.  Pat's activities did not stop there, as he also participated

in the Chorale and has been an active member in our community service program.   Through all this

activity Pat has maintained a 3.2 GPA.   Pat plans to attend college at either Ohio State or Mercyhurst

college and major in business.

Jordan Frank:

Our 4th Award winner is Jordan Frank.  Jordan, also a multi-sport athlete, earned 4

varsity letters in basketball and football - and served as captain of this past years' football team.

Jordan was awarded with a multitude of post season honors on the gridiron, as he was named 1st Team

All Conference, All Lorain County and All Ohio - Special Mention.

Jordan maintained a 3.3 GPA and will be playing football in the fall at - Slippery Rock.

Patrick Maxwell:

   Our 5th Football scholarship recipient is Patrick Maxwell; Pat had an outstanding

 high school career as a high performing student, leader and athlete - - involving himself in many

 extra-curricular activities over the course of 4 years.

Here are some to note:

Class President both his Jr & Sr. Year, a 4 year member of key club and model United Nations, a 4 year

member and letter winner of the track and football teams … and with all this activity - Patrick earned/

achieved a GPA of 4.43 and will be this years valedictorian of the 2007 Senior Class.  Pats' plans for the fall

is studying Bio-Medical Engineering at the Ohio St. U.

Jake Reynolds:

Our 6th and final recipient is Jake Reynolds.  Jake's contributions to the football program

were many.  In addition to being selected captain of this years' team earning two varsity letters over

the past two years, Jake was awarded several post season awards that include - 1st Team Conference,

1st team Lorain County and 1st Team All district as well as All Ohio Honorable mention.  Jake was also

very involved with his church as a Sunday School Teacher for the past 2 years.  Jake plans to play

football at Edinboro in the fall and major in education.

Stephanie Webner:

Our football cheerleader award is awarded to Stephanie Webner.  

Stephanie was very involved in her high school career, as in addition to football cheerleading all 4 years

 - she was involved in the Chorale and selected to the Merples this past year.   She was very involved with

  community service - amassing over 180 hours  the past 4 years - Stephanie achieved a 3.75 GPA

 is a member of the National Honor Society and will study communications at either Miami or Wittenburg U.

Brian Stephens:

Our football trainer award this year is awarded to Brian Stephens.   Brian was

a very dedicated and valuable member of the Shoreman Football Team - all 4 years of High School. 

He was also involved in several extra-curricular activities outside of being a trainer.  Was an editor of

the school year book the past two years and is very involved at his church as a room monitor volunteer.

Brian maintained a 3.1 GPA - plans to go to Ohio University and further his career as an Athletic Trainer.
