Shoremen 2nd Annual "WINTER DRIVE" for the Homeless

Purpose:
|
To assist the local homeless shelter (St. Joseph) in providing
|
|
|
|
|
for a critical need for the winter months - identified by St. Joe staff.
|
|
|
Need:
|
Gently worn shoes, socks, gloves and knit hats.
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
Action:
|
Shoremen Football Team to organize donations/ collections
|
|
|
|
in November/ December - to deliver on 12/21/07;
|
|
|
|
|
Goal:
|
To collect 200 pairs of articles - shoes, socks, gloves and hats.
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
Results:
|
|
|
|
|
|
The Shoremen Football Team collected and delivered:

* 480 Pairs of Shoes
|
|
|
|
* 140 Pairs of socks
|
|
|
|
* 120 Pairs of Gloves
|
|
|
|
* 87 Knit Hats
|
|
|
|
* 27 Miscellaneous Articles of Winter Clothing
|
|
|
|
|
|
Achieved our goal and delivered close to 5X versus 2006 collections.
